I was wondering what the general “ubuntu-sphere” thinks about OpenID logins. I understand the convenience of having them, but what about the security aspect? No password system is totally secure, and it is always possible they could be compromised. The thought of “putting all my eggs in one basket” to me seems a little risky. What do you think?
What do you also think about having OpenID login as the only login method? Is this “wrong” , or should choice be given to use a regular login?
These are big general questions I know, but would love to hear what people think about them.
I know the community won’t, but please don’t go “zealot” on me (either for or against). I would just like balanced well thought out responses.
Thank you for any replies
