5 months ago I posted this regarding the Ubuntu Forums and a major software update first requested in 2009. I would like to report to the community we are still waiting for a fix to be implemented to a plugin before the software update.
It almost sounds ridiculous to wait so long for a small feature.

You’d almost have to think it was a joke …
Not a very funny one mind you.
I believe the last bit is finishing writing the plugin, folks in the community can help with this by contacting Jorge Castro and he’ll put you in touch with other folks who are working on it:

Laughable…
There is nothing else to blame except Bureaucracy (Canonical) for this…. They know what is needed (a vBulletin 4 License and a Server that’s white-listed on their API) and they have simply not provided it after five months.
It is crazy. The update could have taken place YEARS ago if Mark were not so intransigent over the SSO feature.
I fear that nothing has been started as per the latest request ticket.
