I have decided to create an article on Wikipedia for the Ubuntu Forums. It can be viewed here. I don’t think it is a bad start but I will be looking to add more information to the page when time allows. As it is on Wikipedia I am hopeful others may be inclined to help out with content etc.

Good start with the Wikipedia article. We had a similar effort to create an article for Ask Ubuntu as well. The entire process wasn’t as smooth as we would have expected, as we ran into several problems like spam regulations on Wikipedia and as such. It is good to see that Ubuntu forums don’t have that issues right now. And, good luck on your endeavours.
Thank you for the comment on the page, the forum did actually have a page already on Wikipedia but it redirected to Ubuntu automatically. I took out the redirect and wrote the content. Hopefully it won’t be marked as spam as it has several refs from other sites.
